3 years later

3 years ago today, this sweet girl was diagnosed with Leukemia.  3 years ago today, this sweet girl would be forced to grow up WAY faster than any little kid should.  But, now...3 years later...this sweet girl is doing fantastic and has grown into a beautiful little lady.

To say we are happy and thankful to be 3 years out from Riley's diagnosis, would be an understatement. There were many moments, mostly during steroid weeks, where we thought this day would never get here.  Even though we live everyday with the nagging thought of relapse in the back of our minds...we have learned to treasure each day and live life to its fullest.  That is what cancer has done for us.  Well, that and making our sweet princess a tad bit on the spoiled side.  But, I think we all know I wouldn't trade that for anything.

Here's to many more glorious cancer free years!!!!!
