The big day!!

Today is the THE day...Riley gets her port removed today!!  As we speak, Riley, Josh and I, are sitting in the surgery holding area awaiting Riley's turn.  I didn't really anticipate that I would be feeling such mixed emotions about this big event...I'm so very happy that this signifies the end, but then there's always the whole part of not knowing what the future holds.  But, I choose to only think of the here and now...Riley's getting her port removed today!!!

It should be a fairly quick "in & out" procedure, but I will still update when we are finished.  Any and all prayers are greatly appreciated!!!

**It's now 1:30 and we are home and doing great.  The surgery went perfectly and so far Riley is feeling good.  She was excited to hear that the doctor put a liquid type of bandage over her incision, because the worst part for Riley was always taking off those darn sticky bandages.  We'll take all we can get!!  Thanks for all the prayers and good wishes!!!!!
