School days

Today was Riley AND Hayden's first day of school!!  Riley is a big 1st grader now, and Hayden has started going to pre-school for 3-K.  They were both super excited, and did great going into their classrooms...not a tear was shed.  Not even from Mommy!!  I am anxious to pick Hayden up and hear all of his first day of school stories...I'll be sure to share the good ones tomorrow.

Somehow amidst all the first day hustle & bustle, I only managed to take these few pictures...but they show how excited everyone was!!!!!

Remember us?!

If I would only learn to be a little more diligent about my blog posting, you wouldn't have to suffer through these mile long catch up posts.  But, since I don't see that happening any time soon...here's another record breaking post of pictures to show what we have been up to lately.

Riley turned 6 years old at the end of July, and in true Princess Riley style - she enjoyed a whole week of birthday festivities.  She loved every minute of her "birth week" and is already planning what all we will do to celebrate next year!!

We kicked off the birth week celebration with a girls trip to Austin to visit Aunt Nenni and Cory.  They treated us to a wonderful dinner at Buca di Beppo...Yum!!!!!

This little missy devoured this entire birthday brownie...although, she did share a few bites...

My sweet little birthday princess

Thank you Jen and Cory for making one

little 6 year old princess

VERY HAPPY!!!!!

After being spoiled in Austin Riley and I went back to Brenham to pick up the little Bubster, and what do you know - party # 2 was in full effect!!!!

Birthday barbie!!!  Thanks Nana and Pops!!

Hayden missed his big sister...aren't they sweet?!

and so gosh-darn cute!!!

Par-tay #3 was on Riley and Jans' actual birthday at Josh's grandmothers house.  Here are the birthday girls blowing out their candles together...and it's scary to look at this and think that in only 10 more years, Riley will actually be blowing out the candles on her sweet 16 birthday cake...YIKES!!!

The big 6 year old

and the big 1 year old!!

In true 1 year old fashion...Jans enjoyed the bags and tissue paper more than what actually came in them.

As you'll see in the post below, my niece was born August 4th...and this past weekend the kids and I went to visit and spoil the little Missy.  It was Riley and Hayden's first time to meet her, and they loved every minute of it.  Can you blame them...look at how stinkin' cute she is!!

We are a family of baby-hogging women, so it was hard for us to share with each other...but we were nice and let Granny and Aunt Dede join in the fun.  She is one loved little baby girl!

Don't you just love all this hair!!!  So CUTE!!

If this picture doesn't make you smile, I'm not sure what will!!

We couldn't get these caps to fire in his cap gun, so Pops showed him how to make them "fire" with a hammer...hence the fashionable eye wear.  Safety first!!

Guess who lost one of her front teeth!!!!!

I had to share one more of the goggled-cuteness!!

Sweet little Harper Kay

On August 4th my dreams came true, as I was finally blessed with a sweet little niece to love and spoil.  My sister Shelby and her husband Justin welcomed their first child into the world, sweet Miss Harper Kay Colley.  Harper is healthy and beautiful, and VERY loved.

Shelby and Justin - anxious and excited to meet their new bundle of love

Sisters - Jen (Aunt Nenni), Shelby and yours truly
